CHRYSALIS PARK

The Chrysalis Park designed for a 1.5-mile-long elevated rail structure on Manhattan's West Side, which was constructed in the 1930s as part of one of New York City's largest investments in transportation infrastructure, called the West Side Improvement Project. No trains have run on it in over 20 years. A lush urban wilderness, nearly seven acres in total, has seeded itself on the line's tracks. A vision for a linear park above the N.Y with sustainability design considerations and various leisure activities.

Puli Garden

A revolution from the beginning of designing a garden with self-sufficient ecology. To consider the factors, such as the site, environment, climate, hydrology, soil, and more in order to analyze them logically and holistically. The campus landscape and literature ambiance is one and the only in Taiwan. The landscape design is Taiwanese style, from inside to outside, it’s same thing like education or educating someone.

Ming-Der Girls' Senior High School

Getting a stay in the dual-pavilions which located in the campus corner, there is a green fence with a large tree. This fence can set apart from the noisy outside street, and hide the background of towering buildings. This landscape is made by the style of "the garden of Ming dynasty" which is constructed by the materials of gray granophyre with red bricks. The graceful configuration can explicitly demonstrate the academic atmosphere in this scholar garden.

Simplicity

Simplicity is a project based on the Chilean geography whose objective was to enrich the landscape with native flora, use existing stones and rocks of the place, while minimizing the use of water. The orthogonal guidelines and water mirror connects the entrance with the main yard. Aligned vertical bamboos invite you to follow the path to the back, connecting water and sky. In the house's garden, moss and creeping plants were used to cover the natural and modelled slope, unifying the whole set with ornamental trees, such as Acer Palmatum and Lagerstroemia Indica.

Rapture

Design of the garden of a medium-sized property with a hause. The isolation of the home and the garden from uninteresting neighborhood was the difficult task. The main problem was adjacent buildings with windows on the first floor. The aim was to create ecological, full of plants, flowers, bees and butterflies resting place. Places that could be area of garden therapy for the hard-working owners. Place for the cultivation of organic herbs and vegetables, a place for reading books and meeting with family.

Yukyu En

“Yukyu En”, Garden of Eternity, consists of six gardens. Each plays a unique role in the process of saying goodbye to a loved one. The main garden is a modern kare-sansui viewing garden named “Tabidachi no iwa”, Garden for Setting Off on a Journey. The front part represents the present life, while the rare part, which features a single tree among the rocks and gravels, is the afterlife. The white sand that connects two parts represents the mythical river, where the dead move to the afterlife. Another garden, which reflects the changing sky in the pool, reminds the transience of life.
